Designers and engineers are working together to create future clothing for Mars. AI algorithms are able to analyze the labour market. Start-ups specialize in software solutions for smart cities that encourage creative interaction among citizens. Creative achievements find specific applications in business, science and society, and thereby drive innovation. The 2022 Creative Economies Forum (CEF) therefore aims to better understand what constitutes creative skills and how they will develop based on topics such as technology, smart cities, lobbying and artificial intelligence.
Seeking to create synergies for creatives from a wide range of disciplines, CEF 2022 will address various key questions: How do upcoming and established artists, designers and entrepreneurs see their future? How do they perceive their role in the future? How can we together generate «creative spillovers» and build bridges across industries? One highlight of the 2022 CEF will be a screening of «The New Bauhaus». The award-winning documentary portrays the life and work of László Moholy-Nagy, whose pioneering approach to integrating technology into design has lost none of its inspiring force. As another attraction, an acclaimed tech company will analyze the labour market with AI applications for the creative economies.
Join our keynote lectures and cross-disciplinary talks with internationally recognized experts from a wide range of disciplines, research and entreprise. Actively engage in exciting workshops at this two-day event and learn how to upskill yourself for the future.
The Creative Economies Forum is an annual event organized by the Zurich Centre for Creative Economies (ZCCE). As part of the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK), the international centre of excellence is dedicated to research, teaching, incubation and consultancy in the field of the creative economies. The Zürcher Kantonalbank ZKB is a founding partner of the ZCCE and supports the development of the centre.
The forum aims to connect practitioners of the creative economies from the fields of creative innovation, research and entrepreneurship in Switzerland and abroad. During two days it offers the opportunity for networking, co-creation and insights into the latest developments. It is not a mere expert conference, rather everyone who is interested in the topics is invited to participate in the various activities and workshops. The ZCCE is thus taking on its role as a mediator between research, academia, politics, business and society, and is thereby anchoring the creative economies as an impulse-giving topic and field of action. This year’s edition is curated by Lisa Lang, ZCCE advisory committee member.
