How long have you been dancing and what do you love most about it?
I started dancing at the age of 6 in a non-professional ballet school, at the age of 13 I started my professional education and by the age of 15 I had the great chance to continue my studies with the renowned Zurich Dance Academy. Since I was a child, dancing for me was joy, freedom, beauty... as I grew up I discovered that dancing is the only and best way I can express myself and transmit a positive energy to the audience.
What has been your most memorable moment at Zurich Dance Academy?
I will forever be infinitely grateful to my teachers who, with their professionalism and humanity, were able to support me, encourage me and make me believe in myself to become the dancer I am today. The friendships I have created are unforgettable, honest and deep and I will always carry them in my heart. In the preparations for the performances initially everything seemed so strange, difficult both to memorise and to execute the steps correctly, but during the rehearsals, thanks to the high professionalism of the great choreographers, teachers and the collaboration between dancers, everything got better and made me very satisfied with the final result.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
Hoping to always be in good health, in five years I would like to realise my dream of dancing in a prestigious ballet company, after having had experience on other important stages around the world.
The best feeling on stage is for me…
... before I go on stage it is as if it were the first time, I feel an emptiness in my stomach, adrenalin, indescribable excitement. But once I enter on stage I feel like being reborn and I feel an explosion of vital energy, that gives me all the strength to entertain and amaze the audience by involving them in the story of the ballet.
What advice would you give younger dancers hoping to grow and achieve their dreams in dance?
To the younger dancers I would say: "Never give up, because in the journey of a dancer there are many ups and downs and many really difficult moments. Truly believe in yourself while maintaining the passion for what you do, no matter how long it takes to realise your dreams, give yourself time and trust the process because after all, the work of being a dancer gives so much satisfaction."
