Nationality: Japanese
Plans after graduation: Czech National Ballet
How long have you been dancing and what do you love most about it?
I started ballet as a hobby when I was 9, and began studying professionally at taZ when I was 15. What I love most about dance and ballet is the special feeling I get when I'm on stage performing in front of an audience. It's a special emotion that can only be felt on stage.
What has been your most memorable moment at Zurich Dance Academy?
I think it's definitely the performance of "fusspuren (taZ -Curtain up!)." We spend a lot of time rehearsing for those performances. The moments before the show, feeling nervous, and hearing the applause from the audience always make me feel like all the effort in rehearsals has paid off, and it's always the best feeling.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
In five years, I hope to become a dancer who can move and inspire audiences coming to watch the company's performances, utilizing all the experiences I've gained at taZ.
The best feeling on stage is for me…
The time on stage always serves as motivation for my next performance and inspires me to strive for even greater efforts.
What advice would you give younger dancers hoping to grow and achieve their dreams in dance?
Considering the audience, constantly pushing boundaries, and maintaining self-belief are crucial aspects. While the immediate results may not always be palpable, they can significantly influence the audience and those around you. It's about staying committed to your craft and trusting that your dedication will resonate with others.
