How long have you been dancing and what do you love most about it?
I have been dancing since I was 3 years old and I randomly asked my parents to join dance classes. The thing I love most about dance is the satisfaction that comes from overcoming different challenges.
What has been your most memorable moment at Zurich Dance Academy?
By far the most memorable moment during my time at taZ was performing on the Prix de Lausanne stage. Knowing that I had fulfilled a life long wish and that all my friends and family were watching online, made the whole experience even better. The months of preparation and the creation process with my classmate Nick were more than worth it in that moment.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
In 5 years I hope to be working as a soloist in a world-renowned ballet company. I hope that I will be at a point when I feel fulfilled in life.
The best feeling on stage is for me…
The best feeling on stage is the moment just between when you finish a performance, and when the audience starts to applaud. The performance is done, you've put it all out there, and now you're on the brink just before the audience reacts. The moment where everything hangs in the air.
What advice would you give younger dancers hoping to grow and achieve their dreams in dance?
If someone ever tells you that it's not possible, or that you can't do something, prove them wrong. There is always a way to succeed, no matter what people might say.
