How long have you been dancing and what do you love most about it?
I started dancing seriously in my kitchen after Instagram but before Gangdam style. In our age of nihilism and polarization, art has become a bridge between people and cultures internationally. The value of understanding one another and having hope is priceless. It is that hope and genuine connection that I appreciate most about dance.

What has been your most memorable moment at Zurich Dance Academy?
taz has been a very memorable three years to say the least. To just describe one moment wouldn't do the experience justice. It was all the small moments that made my time here so special. It was the little jokes in rehearsal and walking to the train station with a friend. There have been so many unforgettable lessons that life has taught me here. I can't express how grateful I am to the people that made it all possible.

Where do you see yourself in five years?
Hopefully not still trying to figure out where I see myself in five years. To stay present and in the moment is where I prefer to be.

The best feeling on stage is for me…
It brings me so much joy when I can give the audience an experience. I find the greatest amount of satisfaction when I can express vulnerablility and connect with the audience. Alas, I must confess, the attention can be rather gratifying.

What advice would you give younger dancers hoping to grow and achieve their dreams in dance?
Life is about more than just dance. Explore who you are, find new hobbies and look at the clouds. More practice doesn't always translate to success. Ask yourself: Why do you dance? Do you dance because you're afraid of doing something else? Or because you really love what you're doing? It takes courage and strength to move on. I have so much respect for those who make that decision. Lastly, I want to leave you with this. When life gives you lemons, what else can you make besides lemonade?
