International students have the possibility to study an entire Bachelor’s or Master’s programme at Zurich University of the Arts. The same conditions for acceptance to study at the university apply to international and Swiss students alike. International students pay a CHF 500 surcharge per semester on top of the normal course fees of CHF 750. The main language of instruction varies from degree programme to degree programme (German; English; German and English). The language requirements for admission to a degree programme at ZHdK must be taken from the corresponding study regulations (StO) of the respective majors under «Registration and Admission Process». The Mobility Office offers German language courses to students in the Bachelor’s, Master’s, Preparatory training and PreCollege programmes.
Together with the exchange students, the international students are invited to attend the Welcome Days that take place just before the start of the semester. On this occasion they learn about student life at ZHdK and about living in Switzerland in general.
General questions in regards to studying and living in Switzerland can be directed to the University Office and the Student Advice Service. Specific information regarding the different disciplines can be found on the pages Art Education, Design, Film, Fine Arts, Music, Dance, Theatre and Transdisciplinary.
