The Council of Zurich Universities of Applied Sciences and Arts is the highest governing body of the Universities of Applied Sciences in Zurich. It is responsible for the strategic management of the universities under the chairmanship of the Minister of Education. Along with non-voting elected members, the presidents of the state universities, one representative each of the professors, the teaching and research staff, the assistants, the administrative and technical staff, the student body as well as the Head of the Office for Higher Education (Hochschulamt) also take part in the meetings.
