The objective of the CAS Editorial Advanced is process-oriented engagement with products in print and in digital form. Participants learn how to devise advanced design strategies and innovative narration styles in the activity fields of digital layout and editorial design as well as to visualize and implement them in the corresponding contexts in accordance with current design standards. In the process, they should understand editorial design from a transmedial perspective and get to know the requirements and potential of the various media.
The CAS enables participants to gain sound conceptual and design skills, which they apply in different activity areas such as graphic design, advertising, publishing and media. Participants who complete the programme can go on to design high-quality, complex publications such as books, magazines, newspapers, catalogues and corporate communication both in classic print media as well as in digital application areas.
Participants also learn how to advise customer groups with the requisite professional expertise and vocabulary. They can conclusively represent their own point of view and argue it in a comprehensible manner.
