Continuing education/Consultation in music physiology/Music medicine
Individual work-related issues are examined and solutions offered within the framework of a continuing education course/individual consultation in music physiology. Topics include posture, movement, breathing, coordination, confidence on stage, stress management, and learning and practice strategies. Focus can be placed both on your own music-making and music physiology work with students.
The programme is aimed at professional musicians, music teachers, music students, and amateur musicians.
Content
Questions and problems, including those affecting posture, movement, ergonomics, breathing, coordination, confidence on stage, stress management, teaching, learning and practice strategies. The continuing education courses/consultations in music physiology are provided by specialists in music physiology and medically justified. Moreover, referral to external specialist hospitals, doctors, and therapists is possible.
Instrument-specific, ergonomic optimization of the instrumentโs settings and/or with aids can make it easier to play comfortably and pain-free.
Advisory team
Lecturers in music physiology at ZHdK, graduates of the continuing education degree programme in music physiology at ZHdK from advanced level onwards. Places are allocated by Prof. Dr. med. Horst Hildebrandt.
Costs
Depending on the subject, individual lessons or customised packages can be booked.
The programme is free of charge for ZHdK members.

CHF 180 per 60 minutes
CHF 140 per 60 minutes for music-physiologically certified music schools
