Study programme

This content is coming your way.
Climate change and the resulting social, ecological and economic challenges require transversal thinking and transformative action from artists and designers from all disciplines. In close dialogue with selected experts, you will work on your own innovative artistic or design approaches to actively help shape and drive this social change. You will learn to productively utilise and combine different skills and research methods from various disciplines.

This minor builds on the Basic Minor of the same name, but can also be chosen independently of it, provided the entry competences are fulfilled.

You will learn these skills.
- to work independently on ecological, social, economic and political topics and to communicate them clearly in your own field of interest;
- to develop your own project to promote sustainable and ecological development based on current theories, methods and technologies;
- to develop artistic and creative methods in collaboration with experts in order to investigate current ecological and social issues and create your own aesthetics of sustainability;
- to communicate the results of your project critically and to specific target groups;
- to sharpen your own profile for a promising labour market.

You must fulfil these requirements.
The minor is aimed at students who have a particular interest and prior knowledge in the fields of ecology and sustainability and would like to explore these topics independently. You will have the opportunity to develop and/or deepen your own project idea in a practical, experimental, innovative and research-oriented manner in dialogue with selected experts and/or students.

You will benefit from these special features.
The minor responds to current discourses on the topic of sustainability in society, culture, art and politics and enables students to realise concrete project ideas through individual supervision and in collaboration with experts from various institutions.
