Educational Objectives
Through a critical exploration of diverse facets of experience and of social power structures, students develop an ethico-political stance within their chosen professional contexts. They assume accountability for their artistic-educational actions and convey corresponding attitudes and strategies to others.
In a future-oriented understanding of art education, collective learning, participatory project development and organization, research-driven experimentation, and the formation of professional self-positioning are seen as key elements for developing the educational landscape.
The program culminates in the Master's project, which entails a critically reflected articulation of one's own professional stance and aims to integrate synergies from the various perspectives and activities of the program. Students have the option to specialize in one of two tracks: Research Practice, in which the final project (research proposal) is used to apply for research funding and/or the admission to a doctoral program. Autonomous Practice, in which the final project (project design) serves as the foundation for the practical realization of an art-educational project in the public/cultural sector.
