The PhD programme welcomes applications meeting the following profiles:
- Graduates of art education/ art pedagogy and universities of teacher education who would like continue the research they started during their studies and pursue an academic career.
- Teachers who want to open up a scientifically-reflective perspective on their teaching practice through the PhD program and who bring specific questions from their teaching practice.
- Professionals in the field of art or design education, including university lecturers, seeking to consolidate their academic qualification with a doctorate.
Applicants must meet the basic requirements for enrolment as a PhD student at one of the programme’s partner universities, the University of Education Freiburg (PH Freiburg), or the Stuttgart State Academy of Art and Design (ABK Stuttgart). For more information see the documents below:
