Excellence scholarships of the ZHdK Foundation
Objective
The ZHdK Foundation offers excellence scholarships to help outstanding students to finance their Master's studies at Zurich University of the Arts. The accommodation and living costs in Zurich are among the highest in the world. These excellence scholarships come with substantial financial benefits so that academically talented young people can concentrate entirely on their studies and reach their full potential in the process. One scholarship is worth CHF 6,000 per semester and is awarded for the regular study period of four semesters (CHF 24,000).
Who receives this support?
The scholarships go to particularly talented students from all disciplines of ZHdK: Music, Design, Fine Arts, Film, Dance, Theater, Art Education and Transdisciplinarity. Applications are open to Swiss and international students with excellent marks to date who would like to complete their Master’s studies at ZHdK. Applicants must have passed the admission procedure at ZHdK with a mark of excellence and be nominated and selected by an internal specialist jury.
Why is your support required?
The scholarships are financed with money from the ZHdK Foundation. Two bequests made it possible to set up the Excellence scholarship programme in 2019 and secure its operation for the next few years. The ZHdK Foundation is dependent on donations so that this attractive range of financial support can also be offered to assist up-and-coming artistic talent in Zurich in the future as well.
