Staff mobility for teaching and training
As part of the Swiss-European Mobility Programme SEMP, it is possible for university staff and lecturers to complete a short exchange at a partner university abroad.

Staff mobility for teaching (STA)
As part of the SEMP programme, ZHdK lecturers can expand their teaching skills and gain new impetus for their work by taking on teaching assignments at European partner universities. They also build up an international network.
ZHdK lecturers (outgoing) and lecturers from European partner universities (incoming) can apply for a grant. An STA mobility must comprise at least 8 teaching hours and the person travelling must spend at least 2 full, consecutive days at the host university.
No fees are paid at the host university.
Staff mobility for training (STT)
As part of the SEMP programme, university staff can complete mobility for further training at European partner universities and in companies. The aim of the programme is to promote the exchange of experience between institutions in Switzerland and Europe. Possible forms include job shadowing, short periods of collaboration or participation in staff weeks.
ZHdK members (staff, lecturers and non-professorial teaching staff) (outgoing) and staff from European partner universities (incoming) can apply for a grant. For STT mobility, the person travelling must spend at least 2 full, consecutive days at the host university.
No fees are paid at the host university.
Grants for STA and STT
STA and STT mobilities can be financially supported as part of the SEMP programme. The prerequisite is that the partner university is located in a European country that is part of the Erasmus+ area. Actual travel costs up to a maximum of CHF 400 will be reimbursed. If at least one way (outward or return journey) is travelled by an environmentally friendly means of transport (train, bus), travel costs of up to CHF 500 can be reimbursed.
In addition to the reimbursement of travelling expenses, participants will receive a daily allowance of CHF 170 for costs incurred on site. This daily allowance is paid a maximum of 5 times per person and mobility.
The International Affairs Dossier endeavours to promote sustainable travel. For this reason, we strongly recommend choosing the train as a means of transport for journeys of up to 12 hours.
Applications
The ZHdK Mobility Office accepts applications for staff mobility (STA and STT) on an ongoing basis. Please send us the correspondence with the partner university or host institution. You will then receive the access link to Mobility-Online, the online portal through which our mobility processes are coordinated and managed.
Travellers organise their own travel and accommodation. The SEMP contributions are transferred to the traveller by the Mobility Office once the mobility has been completed.
