Klub Kuleshov

The ยซKlub Kuleshovยป is a student interest group at Zurich University of the Arts. Our passion lies in both the world of moving images and in the enduring institution that has been the home of cinema for over a century: the movie theater. We don't view the dimly lit cinema as a nostalgic relic of the past century, but rather as a dynamic space for storytelling.

In an age where the internet has brought the cinema experience directly into our living rooms, enabling us to watch any film at any time with the option to pause, we still hold a deep appreciation for the cinema as a venue for shared cinematic experiences. It's a place where the mundane aspects of everyday life are temporarily set aside, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the magic of the big screen together.

Programme

  • Every Tuesday evening, from 25 February 2025, to 27 May 2025.

    The kiosk opens at 7:30 PM, and the movie starts at 8:00 PM.

  • All ZHdK and ZHAW students, faculty, staff and assistants are welcome. Selected events are also open to external guests. (Entrance fee CHF 5).

    We are a dedicated team of cinephiles constantly on the lookout for fresh ideas to bring to life within our club. Whether you're a film enthusiast from any field of study, we'd be thrilled to have you on board. Whether you're interested in planning film series, overseeing screenings, contributing to graphic design, filming teasers, or simply injecting positivity and fresh perspectives, you're more than welcome to join us.
