International Networks in the Arts
The third edition of the ZHdK International Day was exploring how international networks can support higher arts education institutions in building lasting relationships with partner institutions and in creating attractive joint education and research formats for students, teachers and researchers.
The event shed light on ZHdK's main international network: Shared Campus. Initiated by seven art institutions from Europe and South-East Asia, Shared Campus is a comprehensive cooperation platform for sustainable educational and artistic formats, research networks and co-productions.
Other networks also highly relevant to ZHdK โ โEuropean League of Institute of the Artsโ (ELIA), โInternational Association of Film and Television Schoolsโ (Cilect), the โGlobal Association of Art and Design Education and Researchโ (Cumulus), several networks relevant for music and one design network initiated by ZHdK โLinking Culturesโ โ were also be presented, as well as five concrete international projects from ZHdK students and staff.
The event offered ZHdK students, external guests, alumni:ae and faculty a great opportunity to discuss how international networks can benefit higher arts education and help shape their personal profiles and careers.
At the Networking Apรฉro following the event, the guests met with high-level representatives of Swissnex to discuss collaboration ideas and opportunities. Swissnex is the global Swiss network that connects Switzerland with the world in the fields of education, research and innovation.
The event took place in a hybrid mode (on site at the ZHdK and via Zoom) and in English. The International Dossier would like to thank to everyone who contributed to this interesting event.
