She recently created the film music for two episodes of the crime series ‘Tatort’ and for the new Swiss film ‘Les Courageux’: Mirjam Skal is already a sought-after film music composer at the age of 28. SRF is dedicating a report to the ZHdK alumna in the programme ‘10 vor 10’.

Mirjam Skal studied Composition for Film, Theatre and Media at ZHdK. As a synaesthete, she has an enhanced perception of music, which she says benefits her time and again. As soon as she sees images, she is musically inspired. Her trademark: she records almost all the sounds for her compositions herself. This could even be a grater used to grate carrots in her kitchen.
