Data management plan
A data management plan (DMP) structures the handling of the data produced in a research project โ from submitting the project proposal to archiving the data when the project is finished. In this plan, the time frames for archiving the data and how it can be accessed and used again can be defined. A data management plan should be a โlivingโ document that is amended constantly during the project.
ZHdKโs data management plan is geared specifically towards the requirements of artistic research and the structures at the university. The list of questions also takes into account the specifications of funding bodies such as the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) and can therefore serve as a template for submitting project proposals and funding applications.
Researchers at ZHdK are required to discuss their data management plan with the Archive during the project planning stage and to submit it when the project starts at the latest.
