The Arts of International Cooperation
Thanks to generous support from “Movetia”, the Swiss Agency for Exchange and Mobility, the “Learning from Inequality” project enables exchanges with partner institutions from regions of the world that share a great inequality in relation to Switzerland, but at the same time have very different framework conditions.
Concretely, between 2020 and 2022, three students from Suchum/i and Havanna and one student from Switzerland were able to benefit from a scholarship to complete part of their studies at ZHdK and in Cuba. More lecturers and students will be invited in 2023.
The covid pandemic and the war in Ukraine have made the realisation of the project massively difficult. However, many insights were gained into what is possible in such unequal situations on the one hand, and, on the other hand, where the obstacles are also impossible to overcome.
These insights will be shared at the 2023 ZHdK International Day on the topic of “Arts and Peacebuilding”.
