Biografie
At the ZHdK I hold a position as scientific associate and assistant to Karin Fromherz, course leader of the bachelor's program Art Education. I have also contributed as artistic-scientific associate at the sustainability dossier “re-source | Sustainability in the Arts”with a keen focus on sustainable education and development by emphasizing the integration, mediation and testing of existing and new knowledge and applied practices.
I am a fashion anthropologist, critical designer and fashion activist. I trained at the École de la Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture Parisienne in fashion design and pattern making and worked as such in Paris before I obtained my first master's degree in Ethics and Sustainability (Fashion Futures) at the University of the Arts London (UAL) in 2018. My second MA was in Fashion Cultures and Histories from which I graduated in 2022, also at UAL. My research focus lies on the issue of human dignity and care in the context of design, fashion and dress.
My interests are concerned with changing the systemic paradigms that cause social and environmental injustice, at best by using fashion and design as a force for good. So, I have worked with refugee women, various NGO's and a youth development foundation. But regardless of the medium, ultimately, my energy goes into working towards a kinder system that values people, the environment, creativity and profit in equal measure.
