Presentation and publication formats for artistic PhD research
The Transdisciplinary Artistic PhD is an interdepartmental programme at the Zurich University of the Arts aiming to support third-cycle research for artists and designers through distinctively artistic means.
This year’s conference focuses on the specificities of presenting research by means of artistic practice. What new or different forms of exposing and communication are developed by artists beyond the standard academic presentation formats in conferences and journals? How can the experience of the research process be mediated within a publication or exhibition? What forms do artistic PhD dissertations take on beyond the book – and how are they “submitted” to the university?
This is a free public event with limited places. For participation, please register until November 6th by sending an email to laura.vonniederhaeusern@zhdk.ch (first come, first served).
