Mohamed Almusibli is Director and Chief Curator of Kunsthalle Basel since November 2023. In the programme design, he focuses on innovative and emerging practices and places them in dialogue with historical positions. Previously, Almusibli was an advisor for the Hartwig Art Foundation in Amsterdam, and a lecturer in the MFA programme at ECAL in Lausanne between 2021 and 2023. Almusibli holds a Master of Fine Arts from HAD in Geneva, a Bachelor of Art and Media from ZHdK in Zurich, and a Bachelor in Art History and Arabic from UNIGE in Geneva.
Every semester, ZHdK's Department of Fine Arts presents a series of public talks with various guests from the contemporary art and culture sector. All talks are held in English. Admission is free and no registration is required.
