The examination consists of two parts:
- Artistic performance
- Performance of a selection of works for drum, xylophone, timpani, marimba and vibraphone from the list below, with a programme duration of 50 minutes.
- At least one piece must be performed from memory.
- Sight-reading of a simple piece may be required at the end.
- Candidates submit a list of works at the beginning of the examination.
- The examination board listens to a selection.
On request, ZHdK will provide an accompanist for the instrumental/vocal examination (prior rehearsals are not possible). → Application form

Interview
In an interview, candidates are asked about their motivation and their study and career goals.
