So much of what emerged last year as an alternative to the familiar formats in art education is already indispensable today: โdigitalโ has been established in art and design education. A trip to a Pharaoh's tomb, a visit to Art Basel, a theatre evening at the Schauspielhaus Zurich: now that all this is possible from home, we certainly do not want to miss it any more. New formats, like a Museum of No Spectators, are emerging all the time.
At ZHdK, too, digital art and design education is now an integral part of student life. Online entrance exams, live streams of the Department of Music and online diploma exhibitions complement the classic formats. It is not only on a pragmatic level, however, that ZHdK engages with digital art education. The project Digital Reports+Fictions (with ZHdK login), for example, comprises a series of events on "Hybrid Event Formats / Digital Displays" (with ZHdK login), which provide various opportunities for university members to critically reflect on the topic and to envision digital art and design education in the future.
