Digital Council
Since 2018, ZHdK has had an interdisciplinary expert body, the Digital Council, which provides strategic advice to the university management on digital topics and promotes exchange among university members on digital issues. The Digital Council team supports the committee in the areas of communication and knowledge transfer, as well as with the implementation of programmes.

ZHdK+Futures Thinking (2022โ2023)
What might possible futures of digital learning and creative work at ZHdK look like? For the annual theme "ZHdK+Futures Thinking", a working group looked at various methods and tools which can be used to make possible futures palpable and communicable. Practical insights and suggestions for futures thinking can be found in the corresponding booklet (in German).

Digital Reports + Fictions (2020โ2022)

ยซDo you speak Digital?ยป (2020โ2022)
In the campaign ยซDo you speak Digital?ยป, the artist Kati Rickenbach shows the human and humorous side of the digital world at an arts university. Each of the short comic strips explains a phrase of ยซdigital speakยป.

Digitalization Initiative of the Zurich Higher Education Institutions (DIZH)
The Digitalization Initiative of the Zurich Higher Education Institutions (DIZH) joins the four higher education institutions of the Canton of Zurich over a period of ten years in order to devolop the digital aspects of Zurich as a higher education location and to support cross-disciplinary and cross-institutional projects in research, innovation and education. Via various projects, centres and initiatives, ZHdK is involved in all three areas of the DIZH.

digitalswitzerland
digitalswitzerland is a Swiss-wide, cross-industry initiative that aims to strengthen and anchor Switzerland as a leading global location for digital innovation. ZHdK has been a member of digitalswitzerland since 2016 and has been represented at the Swiss Digital Days organised by digitalswitzerland since their launch in 2017.

The European University Association (EUA) represents more than 850 universities and national rectorsโ conferences in 49 European countries and provides members with unique opportunities to shape European policies and initiatives affecting higher education and research. Dr Susanne Schumacher, Co-Chair of the Digital Council, has been Chair of the Digital Transformation Steering Committee since 2022.

Hochschulforum Digitalisierung (HFD)
The Hochschulforum Digitalisierung (German Forum for Higher Education in the Digital Age) is a nationwide think-&-do tank which brings together a broad community around digitalization in learning and teaching, makes new developments visible and tests innovative solutions. The Digital Council at ZHdK is working together with the Hochschulforum Digitalisierung, particularly in the context of the current annual theme ZHdK+Futures Thinking.
