In the course of its Digital working programme (DAZ), ZHdK has implemented a state-of-the-art infrastructure for digitally supported processes and forms of work, with a view to sustainability, simplicity and legal compliance. The programme was based on preliminary work by the Digital Council and was conceptualised and launched by Renato Soldenhoff in 2021. Following a detailed needs analysis, the programme was implemented at the beginning of 2023 under the leadership of Paolo Del Ponte. All its components were cross-checked against a communally agreed-upon system of values and criteria: a "Digital Compass" to ensure that the programme remained focussed on the human perspective and that the culture change that goes hand in hand with the introduction of new technologies always takes centre stage.
With the completion of the programme at the end of 2024, digital working at ZHdK is institutionally anchored and supported in an integrative solution that takes into account the diverse usersโ needs in the specific context of an art academy. Operational business and further development of the digital workplace at ZHdK have since been transferred into the remit of the ITZ's Digital Workplace team.
