BA Fine Arts


Would you like to become an artist? The Bachelor's Major in Fine Arts is one of a kind in Switzerland due to its broad range of media and bilingualism in German and English. You develop your own artistic practice and in the process create the basis to find your feet in the artistic field. Our programme brings together renowned (inter)national artists, curators and art theoreticians to support you on your path.

Major-Minor Programme Model

With the major, students choose their core subject area. In addition, you can choose either one or two minors to further develop the competencies from your chosen major or to expand them across disciplines. โ€ฏThe Minors in Fine Arts available to you at Bachelorโ€™s level are โ€œExhibiting and Making Publicโ€, โ€œSocial Art Practicesโ€ and โ€œArt Production and Handlingโ€. Below, you will find a list of all minors that can be taken jointly.

Before the autumn semester of 2023, there were eight bachelor's degree programmes and before the autumn semester of 2024, there were eleven master's degree programmes with numerous specializations to choose from. Interdisciplinary options were available in Z-modules and open courses from other subject areas.
