How long have you been dancing and what do you love most about it?
I started dancing at the age of 6 years old and fell in love with this profession instantly. Before I started dancing, I didn’t know anything about ballet. In my small home town ballet isn’t a really big thing, especially for boys. But after my first class, I completely fell in love with ballet. Not only because it’s a very challenging sport, but most importantly, when you dance, you can truly be yourself and show the real "you" without words.
What has been your most memorable moment at Zurich Dance Academy?
The moment that I’ll never forget is the time I went to the Prix de Lausanne and having the amazing experience to dance on a stage like that. I got to meet a lot of people and teachers who made me see the ballet world in many different facets.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
In five years I hope to see myself not only in a good place, but especially in good health and with the people I love. Already, dancing gives me a lot of joy, which I’ll experience no matter where I dance.
The best feeling on stage is for me…
The best feeling on stage for me is when I step on the stage and it feels like nothing alse matters any more, it is just me dancing and enjoying just being there.
What advice would you give younger dancers hoping to grow and achieve their dreams in dance?
For all the people that would want to dance professionally, I would say that no matter how many people aren’t supporting you, you’ll have to keep following your dream. There are a lot of sacrifices involved in becoming a dancer. But if you work hard enough, every sacrifice will turn into an achievement that will make you feel fulfilled.
