Continuing Education Centre
A place for artists, designers, creative types, educators, specialists, experts, managers, lateral thinkers, inventors and researchers. The Toni Campus in Zurich West used to be a yoghurt factory in the past. Nowadays, it is home to Zurich University of the Arts, which is a creative hotspot for continuing education students as well. The courses at the Continuing Education Centre are designed for people who already have an initial degree under their belt and would like to discover, extend or consolidate their creative potential in the fields of music, design and education.
Students can choose from more than 50 courses (CAS, DAS and MAS) in music, the arts and design. A CAS comprises between 10 and 15 European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) credits and runs for one to three semesters.
Moreover, the summer and winter schools offer a wide range of courses, which provide an insight into topics that interested students can then explore in greater depth in a CAS degree programme. A list of possible degrees is available here.
We specialize in tailored continuing education courses that you can complete alongside your job. Students develop their profile parallel to their current work as required. In this way, it is possible to combine several CAS degrees into an MAS degree, which offers participants exciting new professional perspectives.
The Toni Campus contains superbly equipped workshops, one of the sites of the Museum of Design Zurich, the Toni Cinema, concert halls, sound studios, rehearsal stages, studios, the Media and Information Centre and the University’s own music Club, Mehrspur. Moreover, the roof terrace, cafés and the Mensa canteen provide students with many opportunities for transdisciplinary cultural meetings with their peers beyond the framework of the established continuing education degree programme.
