Master’s programme in Design

The research-oriented Master of Arts in Design degree programme focuses on broadening and deepening specialist design knowledge. Over the course of four semesters, students work on their individual Master’s projects in one of six majors.

Programme

The Master of Arts in Design allows designers and individuals from design-related fields to acquire expertise and a very high level of technical proficiency. At the heart of the Master’s degree programme is the students’ research-oriented approach to work and thinking, which they employ as part of their own design projects. The combination of a high level of independence, reflective and interdisciplinary thinking, an individual design philosophy and an entrepreneurial approach are all just as crucial in equipping students for a future career as the ability to engage with international practice or go on to further higher education. The emphasis of the programme is on a research-focused study model, in which all students intensively pursue their individual Master’s project over a period of four semesters. This results in future-driven design solutions as well as communicable knowledge and new methods.
