Course content.
Position yourself as an actor and artist. This minor provides acting students with a professional qualification that equips them to enter a broad professional field ranging from city and state theatre companies to the independent theatre scene, through to film. To complete the degree programme, students can undergo a graduate audition (AVO) or choose to take part in the “Showcase”, which is aimed at working in the independent theatre scene after graduating. During the audition or showcase, students will be able to clearly demonstrate the skills they have gained from both individual and collaborative work.
This minor gives you the opportunity to showcase your artistic understanding and ability. Throughout the course, you will receive expert advice from lecturers and assistance to help you audition confidently for the AVO or present your own performative contribution for the showcase. The focus is on improving your understanding of your own artistic position. This minor also offers you support in the areas of research and design, judicial and contractual matters within the performing arts, applying for funding, as well as body-voice training.
