Subject Area Trends & Identity

The subject area Trends & Identity analyses lifestyles and material cultures as well as trends, fashions and identities. Design is used to critically examine social change. Thus, concepts evolve, products are designed and services are developed. Cultural studies research and design ethnographic methods complement and deepen the perspectives of design.

The activities in the subject area extend across Bachelor's and Master's programmes and research projects.
