Welcome to the profile Music Pedagogy! The training includes offers in the degree programmes Bachelor of Arts in Music (Classical, Jazz, Pop, School Music), Bachelor of Arts in Music and Movement as well as Master of Arts in Music Pedagogy (Analysis and Teaching, Elementary Music Pedagogy, Instrumental/Vocal Pedagogy, Jazz, Pop, School Music, Rhythmics).

Music studies at the ZHdK take place at one of the largest integrated art colleges in Europe. Students are accompanied by highly qualified lecturers and benefit from state-of-the-art infrastructure. The flexible and permeable study programme, the networking of students on the Toni-Areal campus and the close cooperation with the professional world offer optimal conditions for the start of a professional career.

Career Center Musik

Network, qualification, information and advice
The Career Center Music offers ZHdK music students a whole host of career-related content, enabling them to embark upon their professional life with success. It acts as the interface between study and career. The focus is on the pooling and contextualization of useful information, on job placement and network services, as well as on a course to acquire complementary skills in professional practice.

Improvisation

Improvisational skills are particularly valuable for teachers, which is why pedagogy students are increasingly to be found in improvisation modules. Improvisation plays a special and central role in the Music and Movement and School Music courses in particular.
