Hello you. Welcome to the ZHdK Student Advisory Network. It's good to have you here. We can tell you all about the new minor courses at the ZHdK. We support you while orienting yourself within the new study model and accompany you on your study progress. We show you how to find your way around the Major-Minor model, which combinations are possible - and above all: what there is to discover.
In addition, we are here for you, if you ever have a concern and you’re not sure where to go with it. We are well connected and know the right person to contact.

The Major-Minor model is the new study programme at the ZHdK. The advantage: You can put together a large part of your studies yourself. At the same time, more options also mean more questions. That's why we at the Student Advisory Network, a network of advisors and ZHdK students, are here to show you how to find what you're looking for.

Have you ever thought about studying at ZHdK? If you’d like to know more about how to study here and what we offer, we at the Student Advisory Network should be your first point of call.

First step: Send us a message or drop in during our business hours. Describe briefly what you have done in your life so far and which areas of study at the ZHdK interest you. That is, if you already know. If you don’t have any clear ideas yet and would just prefer to get some inspiration from us, that’s fine as well.

We'll get back to you to set up an appointment. Feel free to come by and have a look at our campus. If you don't have much time, we can set up a Zoom meeting instead.

You can ask any questions during the conversation. For example, what are the admission restrictions? Which courses take how long?

You are choosing your first minor? We are happy to join you on your journey.

Have you already chosen a major and gained admission to it? We will tell you how to choose the right minor, assist you in planning your studies, and find the right contact person if you have any questions.

First step: Send us a message or just drop by without an appointment. Write briefly what you are studying in the major and which topics interest you in the minor. That is, if you already know. If you would prefer to be inspired by us without bias, that is of course also great.

As soon as you have sent the mail, you can relax again. We will contact you to make an appointment.

You can ask all your questions in a conversation with our advisors. They are experts in finding answers. For example, which combinations are possible timewise, and which are not going to work. Or the types of access restrictions that you may encounter. 
If our advisors are ever unable to find an answer to a question, they'll direct you to the right person in the network who can help you.

There are questions that are individually linked to your needs - and there are questions that occur regularly. Or to put it another way: there are topics that keep us and you busy again and again. That's why we collect the most frequently asked questions and put them into an advisory service for groups. We, or those people with the most knowledge in this area, will prepare relevant content for you. You’ll also get to know other students who are dealing with similar issues, and have the opportunity to discuss your questions with them on-site.
