Content and structure
The courses for the fields of expertise are based on the application of aesthetic experience in a reflective form. Most courses are repeated every semester. The courses offer an important theoretical and practical foundation to students for the further development of their creative processes, social skills and self-competence, and communication and reflective abilities.
The courses impart basic transdisciplinary skills and expertise that are founded in the prevailing principles of the various departments, and which in case have been refined to accommodate students from other departments. This makes all the courses interesting to a broad range of target groups interested in transdisciplinary topics. Z-Modules are also developed and structured in cooperation projects carried out by more than one department. The courses are conducted within a transdisciplinary or interdisciplinary framework.
Fields of expertise
The basic skills and expertise centre around the IT sector or an analysis of social media, for example. Additional fields of expertise create interfaces with the Z-Kubator, the Research Office and the Dossier International department.
Project modules
Project modules are courses organized by at least two departments, possibly along with another programme โ e.g. Connecting Spaces. These courses are initiated and conducted by lecturers working closely with their programme directors. Their content is designed to ensure they appeal to students from several different programmes and departments.
