The film tells the story of Irna and her son Jago. Irna does not understand what she is doing wrong. She feels that her relationship with her son Jago is becoming increasingly hopeless and seeks refuge in the peculiar relationship with the rubber doll Elias. Jago desperately tries to make his mother aware of her problem.
Natascha Vavrina was nominated for her bachelor film "Echo" (Directed by Jelena Pavlovic) in the category "Young Talents". The film tells the Coming-of-Age story of the 20-year-old Maลกa. She is about to leave her small town. In order to be able to fully process her decision, she goes into the depths of her subconscious. There she encounters not only familiar faces, but also herself.
Pascal Reinmann was born in 1989 in the canton of Bern, Switzerland. After his compulsory schooling, he completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter and graduated in 2009. Since 2012 he has been studying film at the Zurich University of the Arts with a specialisation in camera. Besides his studies, Pascal works as a freelance cameraman and founded Nordhang Film GmbH in 2012. In autumn 2016 Pascal started his master study "Cinematography" at the ZHDK.
Natascha Vavrina enjoyed being in the fresh air since her childhood and began to capture the impressions around her. Whether with brush on canvas or chroma and luminance signals on a sensor. She lived through a classic school career in Zurich. Graduated from high school in 2011 and travelled all over the world. In 2013, she completed her design propaedeutic in Lucerne and in the same year finally came across her fellow students at the Zurich University of the Arts in the field of film.
She felt particularly at home behind the camera and still lives there today.
