Choosing an ISB
In some degree programmes, students can actively choose the ISB instead of a minor in the minor selection. It then replaces a minor, comprises 15 credits and can later be extended to 30 credits. An ISB with 15 or 30 credits is listed on the diploma. In other degree programmes, the ISB is only used in individual cases and after consultation with the head of the major. Students may opt for an ISB if they discontinue a minor and still wish to complete their studies in the envisaged period of study, or if they attend modules in an exchange semester that cannot be credited to either their major or their minor.
